Resonant LC

resonant LC paralel

If a charged capacitor is connected across an inductor, charge will start to flow through the inductor, building up a magnetic field around it, and reducing the voltage on the capacitor.

Formula

$$ f = {1 \over 2π~\sqrt {LC} } $$

Elements

  • L : Inductor Henry H
  • R : Capacitive Farad F
  • F : Frequency Hertz Hz

Examples:

What is a resonant frequency for a circuit with a capacitor with 10pF and a coil with 10H.
C=10pF
L=10H
f=15.915,5 Hz
